WG Teen Drama Camp (TDC) is excited to be putting on our second annual summer production, Heathers The Musical, High School Edition. (click here to read more about the show)
Heathers isn’t just a musical, it’s a movement… to end teen bullying and promote mental health. Heathers also brings awareness to LGBTQ+ issues, suicide, and more.
WG Teen Drama Camp is dedicated to bringing these issues to light through this production.

National Alliance for Mental Health (nami.org) is the nation’s largest grassroots mental health organization dedicated to building better lives for millions of Americans affected by mental illness. The local Santa Clara Chapter will be partnering with us for this production!
The Bully Project (thebullyproject.com) is a social action campaign inspired by the award-winning film BULLY. They’ve sparked a national movement to stop bullying that is transforming kids’ lives and changing a culture of bullying into one of empathy and action.
The Trevor Project (thetrevorproject.org) is the leading national organization providing crisis intervention and suicide prevention services to lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and questioning (LGBTQ) young people ages 13-24.
Loveisrespect (loveisrespect.org) is an organization whose purpose is to engage, educate and empower young people to prevent and end abusive relationships.
Support Systems Homes (supportsystemshomes.com), is a local organization which provides affordable, high quality alcohol and drug treatment to those in need, with locations throughout Santa Clara County.
About the Show
Based on the classic 1989 film, Westerberg High is ruled by a shoulder-padded, scrunchie-wearing junta: Heather, Heather, and Heather, the hottest and cruelest girls in all of Ohio. But misfit Veronica Sawyer rejects their evil regime for a new boyfriend, the dark and sexy stranger J.D., who plans to put the Heathers in their place – six feet under.
Heathers The Musical is the darkly delicious story of Veronica Sawyer, a brainy, beautiful teenage misfit who hustles her way into the most powerful and ruthless clique at Westerberg High: the Heathers. But before she can get comfortable atop the high school food chain, Veronica falls in love with the dangerous new kid J.D. When Heather Chandler, the Almighty, kicks her out of the group, Veronica decides to bite the bullet and kiss Heather’s aerobicized butt…but J.D. has another plan for that bullet.
